Tony Cisek's rain barrels. The wave rain barrel was donated to the Surfrider and Snook Foundations and the wild puzzle rain barrel is on display at our events.
E. Foundation. Build a foundation that is tall enough to get a bucket/watering can under and allow access for attaching a hose to the hose bib/spigot. Raising the barrel will also allow for better pressure.
Overflow. Threaded for hose attachment. Allows you to direct overflow away from house and foundation of rain barrel. Tip: run hose along garden or landscaping so overflow is not wasted. Utilize soaker hoses. We sell these 10ft hoses.
Our hose bib/spigot. Rain barrels come with a regular brass hose bib which is threaded to allow hose attachment. Tip: Utilize soaker hoses, open hose bib slightly to allow watering while away from home, drip irrigation. In-line pumps can be attached externally to your hose bib and hose to achieve more pressure if desired, these can be found at local hardware stores or online.
